This is perhaps one of the most common of all questions we are asked. The answer is simple if one looks at that Dive tables. All dives are "no decompression dives", however, let's assume you have been doing a week's diving, 2 dives a day and then on last day you want a morning dive and then to travel to Wadi Rum, or Petra or Amman..
So refer to the PADI RDP and you are in pressure group Z - one hour from surfacing you are in pressure group K. By the time you come back from a dive to the Centre, wash your gear and return to Aqaba, that is about one hour, so you are within the Tables. However, we always recommend caution and Dive Tables are still only a guideline, not everyone's body reacts in the same way. It is a fact of life: Women generally have more fatty tissue than men and that retains nitrogen a little longer... Take into account your level of fitness, tired or not tired and we hate to refer to it..."age"... and many other factors... so why spoil your holiday with a side trip to the Aqaba recompression chamber? Practice safe diving always allow a good surface interval before going to Wadi Rum, Petra or Amman and at least 18 hours before flying..
Of course using Nitrox also lessens the problem , so why not take an Enriched Air course and enjoy safer diving.
